Product Description
GAVIN1212 high resolution thermal camera module integrates large
array 1280x1024/12μm cooled MWIR detector. Various image processing
algorithms are embedded in the GAVIN1212 electronics to output
clear infrared images in the total darkness or bad weather
conditions. It can detect and recognize risks and threats at long
distance while present more target details at short distance.
With large array 1280x1024 resolution it can realize wider field of
view and provide more image details. The reduced 12µm pixel size
offer better spatial resolution and match shorter optical lens
focus to achieve the same range mission. It is ideal choice for the
EO-IR systems integrator to design their payload for air-borne or
ship-borne applications.

1. What is MCT/HgCdTe detector?
MCT, also called HgCdTe, refers to Mercury-Cadmium-Tellurid which
is a chemical compound of cadmium telluride (CdTe) and mercury
telluride (HgTe) and a common material in photodetectors. MCT/
HgCdTe detector is a photoconductive detector that operates at a
cryogenic environment and can detect infrared radiation. It is more
sensitive than the thermal sensors.
2. What is T2SL detector?
T2SL refers to Type-II Superlattice, which is an artificial
material with alternating growth periodic heterojunction at
nanometer size. It has high uniformity and superior optical
property, such as large electron effective mass,large absorption
coefficient and high quantum efficiency. Compared with MCT infrared
detector, the T2SL infrared detector has good material uniformity,
low cost, and similar performance to MCT infrared detector in
medium and long wave band, but has great advantages in very long
wave band.
